Arrival & Island Welcome
Arrive in the charming heart of Madeira and settle into your hotel nestled in the vibrant old town. Wander the cobbled streets, grab a coffee, and breathe in the Atlantic breeze. In the evening, we kick things off with a welcome dinner at a traditional restaurant — great food, great company, and a taste of what’s to come!
Into the Green Paradise
Lace up your boots for one of the island’s most scenic hikes along a lush levada trail. Surrounded by dense forests, tunnels, and waterfalls, it’s a nature-lover’s dream. After the hike, we visit a village known for its charming triangular homes and stop in a seaside town for a delicious local lunch before returning to the city.
Splash, Slide & Soar
Time for canyoning! This fun, beginner-friendly adventure takes you down mountain streams, through waterfalls, and into natural pools — an unforgettable way to explore Madeira’s wilder side. Afterward, we enjoy a relaxing seaside lunch and visit Cabo Girão, a sky-high glass viewpoint with jaw-dropping ocean views, before heading back to town.
Chasing the Sunrise, Sailing the Sunset
We rise early for the island’s most famous sunrise trek — a spectacular route along dramatic ridgelines, cloud-kissed peaks, and panoramic views that reward every step. After some rest back in Funchal, we set sail on a charming sunset cruise aboard a traditional-style boat. A golden hour you won’t forget.
Northwest Exploration Day
We explore the island’s wild northwest — walking through an ancient forest, stopping at dramatic coastal viewpoints, and visiting a striking black-sand beach. After lunch, we swim in natural volcanic pools, continue to a remote lighthouse and roadside waterfall, and return to the capital. If time allows, we finish with tropical gardens and an optional traditional sled ride.
Ocean Adventures & Sunset Feasts
Start your day on the water with kayaking and snorkeling in the sparkling Atlantic. All equipment is provided — just bring your energy and your swimsuit! Then it’s off to a scenic lookout before riding a cable car down to a hidden beach paradise for the afternoon. In the evening, enjoy a classic espetada dinner — grilled skewers, local flavors, and good vibes included in your package.
Wild Encounters & Coastal Hikes
We begin with a morning at sea, watching for whales and dolphins in their natural habitat. Afterward, we enjoy lunch in a coastal village before heading out on a breathtaking hike along a dramatic, windswept peninsula — a perfect blend of raw nature and serene views. Then it’s back to town to relax and reflect.
Departure Day
After a week of unforgettable adventure, it’s time to say goodbye. Depending on your flight time, enjoy a relaxed morning in the city or one last espresso at your favorite café before your transfer. Until next time, Madeira!
