We then head for a short city tour for your first introduction to Kyrgyzs culture.
In the afternoon we drive just under an hour out of the capital to Ala-Archa National Park.
Here you get your first taste of Kyrgystan’s natural beauty. Short hike before returning to our hotel for the evening.
And the adventure begins
After breakfast we hit the road- destination Chon Kemin national park. We then head to the river to wet our sense of adventure! You will spend the next few hours rafting down the Chon-Kemin river- suitable for all levels.
Late lunch at our mountain guest house.
We finish the day with an easy hike – or you can opt to horse ride- to the Panorama view point.
Overnight in Chon Kemin.
Destination Karakol
Destination Karakol. We drive along the north shore of the famous Issyk-Kul Lake.
Once we get to the beautiful Semenovskiy gorge we sit by the river for our picnic lunch. We may share the river and meadows with free roaming horses.
After lunch we hike to Sutu-Bulak lake.
Then we continue our road trip to Karakol.
We enjoy a traditional dinner with a Uighur family

The Jety Oguz Valley
Another stunning destination! After breakfast we drive to Jety Oguz valley gorge where we will hike past rushing rivers and waterfalls.
When we reach the Kok-Jaiyk pass at 2380 m we stop for our picnic lunch. You will have an amazing view to Issyk-Kul lake, mountain peaks and conifer forests.
After coming back down we head to our traditional yurt camp. Finish the day by swimming in Issyk-Kul lake.
Dinner and overnight in the yurt camp.
Chasing waterfalls
After a traditional breakfast in our Yurt camp we have a day of walking by waterfalls and end up above 3000 metres!. The biggest waterfall we will see has a 100m drop. Just wow.
Picnic lunch along the river before we drive up to Arabel Plateau which lies above 3000m. Short hike in the area- it can be cold!
We finish the day with another dip in Issyk-Kul lake before dinner at our yurt camp.
Destination Son-Kul Lake
What an exciting day awaits! After breakfast we head to Son-Kul lake, the highest lake in Kyrgyzstan, located at the altitude of 3016 m. We are in love with this place!
On the way we stop off for a short hike in Skazka (Fairy tale) Canyon and we will also be wowed with an eagle hunting show. These birds of prey are seriously huge and impressive.
Continue to drive to Son Kul – the way is incredibly scenic.
