ABC with TSG was an entire vibe! A life-changing experience. Imagine connecting with complete strangers online, meeting them in a foreign country, and then living with them for 10 days! It happened, it was real, raw, revealing, and I now have NINE new friends for life. The fact that you read this far means you are meant to do a trek with TSG. Sign up, go, trust me... I trusted TSG with my life. TSG deserves all the accolades. As a keen and demanding traveler, this is one of the best experiences of service excellence in all of my travels.#OnwardsAndUpwardsTSG

We will explore the capital city of Nepal and spend the night, while we prepare ourselves for the trek. Our stay will be in a 4* hotel in Thamel, the touristic area of Kathmandu. We will also be having a welcome dinner, once everyone has arrived, to get to know each other before our adventure begins!
We head to the airport for a short 30 minute flight to Pokhara. However be prepared as these flights are often delayed due to weather conditions. So a little patience is key! After landing we head straight to the mountains. We drive to Matque, around 3 hours, from where we start our adventure by crossing the longest hanging bridge in the region. You are thrown in at the deep end, starting with seemingly never ending stairs- the perfect warm up! 🙂
But don’t worry- this first hike is a short one…we stop at Chhomrong, where you will experience your first panoramic view of the Himalayas.
Overnight in Chhomrong.
Our destination today is Dovan- Our day will start early to catch the sunrise. It’s worth it! On the way up, we will be passing through Sinuwa and Bamboo. Here the hills blend into jungle. Overnight in Dovan.
From Dovan we will go all the way to Machhapuchhare Base Camp(MBC).
We trek past various waterfalls where the landscape turns into rugged mountain terrain. We will be surrounded by incredible peaks as we emerge above the tree-line. A special view is the majestic Machhapuchhare- or fish tail mountain- the only peak not summited by man, as it’s believed to be holy. Overnight in MBC.
We will wake up early and start walking under the stars as we push for Annapurna Base Camp(ABC). What an achievement!
After enjoying breakfast as close to the summit as we will get, and taking in the atmosphere, we will head back to Himalaya where we will spend the night. Overnight in Himalaya.
We will continue our descent towards the starting point and our destination today is lower Sinuwa. You will be surprised how different the views are from the other way.
From Upper Sinuwa we will go back all the way to the first village on the trail-
Jhinu Danda.
Enjoy some well deserved chilling time in the hot springs- remember to bring your swimsuits!
Overnight in Jhinu Danda
It is time to go back to Pokhara. On this day we will once again be crossing the suspension bridge, all the way to the meeting point where we will take the Jeeps back to the city.
Today we will be rewarding ourselves with a stay at a 5* Spa & hotel in Pokhara.
Time to head back to Kathmandu in order to get ready to go back home.
We will take our flight in the afternoon. After the closing ceremony and certificate handing over we will have time to shop and pick up souvenirs in the market of Thamel. Overnight in Kathmandu.
A la prochaine beautiful and unforgettable Nepal! …..

THIS ONE-OF-A KIND
ADVENTURE IN NEPAL
October–November and March–April are the pre- and post-monsoon seasons in Nepal, making them the driest and warmest months in the Himalayas—perfect for trekking. However, mountain weather is notoriously unpredictable and can change in an instant. We may encounter rain, or even snow, but don’t worry, just follow our packing checklist, and you’ll be prepared for whatever nature throws our way!
Visa “on Arrival” is the only way to enter Nepal. The visa procedure is very quick and simple, you wont need any extra documents and is done directly at the airport.
Only nationals of following countries are requested to acquire a Visa prior to their arrival from their nearby Diplomatic missions (Embassies/consulates) of Nepal Government.
Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, Syria, Refugees with travel documents.
The fees of the Visa are as follows: 15 Days – 30 USD, 30 Days – 50 USD, 90 Days – 125 USD.
We at The Sports Guru will provide you, before you travel, with all the details, including an explanation video, on how to go through the visa process before you travel.

Who Might Struggle on the Trek?
Yes, altitude sickness is a possibility on this trek, but it is usually mild and manageable.
The highest point on the trek is Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130m (13,550 ft). While this is below the extreme altitude range (above 5,000m), some trekkers may still experience mild symptoms of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). These symptoms typically start above 3,500m and may include: Mild headache, Dizziness, Nausea or loss of appetite, Fatigue, Difficulty sleeping.
Most symptoms are temporary and go away as your body adjusts. Severe cases of altitude sickness (HAPE/HACE) are very rare on this trek.
During the Annapurna Base Camp trek, we stay in tea houses, which are basic mountain lodges along the trekking route. These accommodations are simple but comfortable, providing a warm place to rest after a long day of hiking.
Most rooms in these tea houses are shared (twin or dorm-style) with basic beds, blankets, and pillows. As we go higher, tea houses become more limited, meaning more people may need to share a room. Toilets are shared and vary from western-style to squat toilets. Expect basic toilets, sometimes just a hole in the ground. Hot showers are available at most tea houses, but they are not always guaranteed. The dining area is usually the warmest place, with an electric heater. Bedrooms are not heated, but we will be providing you with warm sleeping bags.
